Auction figures reflect published rate cards for lots under $1m, checked September 2026. The buyer’s premium is not negotiable. Seller commission at auction often is, and is frequently waived entirely for desirable consignments — which is why the buyer’s side is the fair comparison.
THE COMPARISON

Win a stone at $50,000 under the hammer and you pay around $63,000

The buyer’s premium is published, identical for everyone, and it is how the house makes its money. On the exchange that same stone costs $50,875. The seller pays the same 1.75% on their side. Listing is free, withdrawing is free, and storage and insurance are included for as long as the stone stays listed.

NO-SALE GUARANTEE

If it doesn’t sell, you owe nothing

No commission, no storage, no insurance, no intake fee. Withdraw whenever you like and collect it in Bangkok at no cost. The only charge that can arise is dormant storage, and only if a stone is taken off the market and left beyond 90 days.

How offer deposits work

DEPOSIT
10%

Authorised, not charged

Held against the offer. If the seller accepts, it applies to the purchase price.

RELEASE

Declined or lapsed

Released in full within two working days. Nothing is retained.

BINDING

On acceptance

An accepted offer completes the sale. If the buyer fails to settle, the deposit passes to the seller.

Offers must be at least 70% of the asking price. Sellers may set a higher floor. All amounts are private to the seller.
