Custodian Gem Xchange is three things in one place: a shop for direct purchase of certified stones, a marketplace where vaulted stones trade on private offers, and the custodian vault network that holds the physical stone until someone redeems it. Every stone secured in vault custody.
Top-tier certified stones from every major laboratory worldwide, held in insured custody and traded on private offers. Ownership changes hands in minutes while the stone never moves.
Certified stones from a small group of vetted sellers, with the enhancement process stated on every listing. Choose a stone and check out.
Fine material has held value across decades — the chart shows why. What the exchange offers is access: verified stones, open pricing, and the ability to wait for the right one. The conclusions are yours to draw.
Illustrative index modelled on published trade estimates of 4–8% average annual appreciation for fine material over recent decades. Individual stones vary enormously. Not a forecast, and not investment advice.
A certificate proves something about a stone, but only if the stone in the photograph is the stone in the envelope. Until it is in your hand, you are trusting the seller’s word that the two match.
Send first and hope, or demand payment first and lose the sale. Between two dealers who have never met and share no jurisdiction, this is where most cross-border trades die.
Shipping, insurance, customs clearance, a week in transit and a real risk of loss. Stack those costs against the spread and any trade under roughly 15% margin stops being worth doing at all.
Before anything is shipped, send us the laboratory report. We check it against the issuing laboratory’s own register and confirm the stone meets the vault standard. You know it qualifies before it leaves your safe.
Once verified, send the stone to the Bangkok headquarters vault. On arrival it is weighed, measured and matched against the report it was verified on, then placed in insured storage under your name.
Your stone appears on the board at your asking price. Buyers accept it outright or open a private offer, and ownership can change hands any number of times while the stone stays exactly where it is.
Whoever owns the stone controls it. Leave it in custody indefinitely and keep trading it, collect it in Bangkok after a final inspection, or have it moved under insured chain of custody to a partner facility near you. No lock-in and no notice period.
Charged on sale, never to the buyer.
No cost for as long as your stone is listed and available. Delisted or dormant beyond 90 days, storage is charged at 0.5% of declared value per year.
Every vaulted stone is insured while held and while moving between facilities, up to a value agreed in writing at intake.
Operations at two of the Mozambican ruby concession’s working pits have paused pending a geological review, with output guidance for the second half revised downward.
A 12.36 carat cushion-cut Kashmir stone, unheated and certified, underlined sustained demand for material from the exhausted Himalayan deposit.
Early parcels show colour approaching Mozambican material. Laboratories are updating origin criteria before the stones reach volume trade.
Revised reporting standards narrow the definitions of minor and moderate enhancement, with implications for stones certified under earlier criteria.
GRS, SSEF, Gübelin and AGL reports are cross-checked against the issuing laboratory and matched to the physical stone before listing.
Funds are held in escrow until the stone is verified into custody. Sellers are paid on confirmed intake, not on trust.
Only the seller sees offer amounts. Other buyers see interest, never numbers — your position is never exposed to the market.
